
Spencer Cartwright, EIT
Staff Engineer
EXPERIENCE SUMMARY
Mr. Cartwright joined Harbor Engineering in 2022 after graduating from Roger Williams University with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with a concentration in Civil Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. Spencer is an accomplished sailor from The Bahamas. He is a four-time Bahamian optimist national champion, a Bahamian laser national champion, a Bahamian I420 champion, and he represented The Bahamas at four world championships in the optimist, laser radial, and I420 classes. Spencer was captain of the Roger Williams Sailing Team for three years and was named an ICSA All American Skipper his senior year.
Before coming to Harbor, Spencer interned at a multidisciplinary civil engineering firm where he developed his technical skills with engineering software, drafting and site work. He took numerous projects including onsite wastewater treatment systems, erosion and sediment control and dock plans from start to finish. Spencer is currently focusing on residential dock design, dredge planning, and designing improvements to a ferry terminal on Block Island. During his time off Spencer enjoys racing smaller sailboats and is an assistant coach for the Roger Williams University Sailing Team.
