Harbor Engineering, LLC is seeking candidates to fill a mid-level engineer position to assist in the planning, permitting and design of waterfront infrastructure throughout New England.  Harbor Engineering, LLC is a boutique engineering company located in Barrington, RI that specializes in designing waterfront projects including marinas, piers, bulkheads, seawalls, revetments and marine terminal structures.  Additional information about Harbor Engineering, LLC can be found at harboreng.com.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in civil or structural engineering, Master’s degree preferred;
• 7-10 years of experience designing waterfront engineering projects;
• Engineer-in-training required, Professional Engineer license preferred;
• Superior written and verbal communication skills including the proficient use of Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point);
• Experienced designer involving geotechnical and structural analysis associated with the design of various waterfront structures required;
• Experience using various programs including MathCAD, Apile, Lpile, Pilebuck SPW911, Visual Analysis (or another structural program), RetainPro, etc;
• Experience drafting using AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred), conducting fieldwork (including surveys and inspections) and monitoring construction;
• Able to conduct site visits and prepare associated condition or observation reports as required; and
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
